This apple crisp is a beloved family recipe from my mom, who has made it about a hundred times. It's a comforting dessert with tender apples and a crunchy topping, ideal for serving warm, plain, or with ice cream. For best results, use large rolled oats and granny smith apples for just the right balance of tartness and sweetness.
