Meatloaf (x1.5 scale)

My own recipe, fine-tuned over many years

  • 3 lbs (1.361 kg) lean ground beef
  • 1.5 onions, diced
  • 3 (153 g) large eggs, beaten
  • 1 12 cup (186 g) bread crumbs
  • 12 cup (140 g) ketchup
  • 1 12 tsp (9 g) salt
  • 1 12 tsp coarse black pepper
  • 1 12 tsp (8 g) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 12 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp (12 g) grainy Dijon mustard

  • 12 cup (140 g) ketchup
  • 1 12 tsp (9 g) salt
  • 1 12 tsp coarse black pepper
  • 1 12 tsp (8 g) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 12 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp (12 g) grainy Dijon mustard

Combine all ingredients in large bowl.

  • 13 cup, 2 tsp (105 g) ketchup
  • 13 cup, 2 tsp (92 g) packed brown sugar

Glaze: mix all ingredients together and pour on top of meat loaf.

Shape into loaf in 13 x 9-inch baking or roasting pan.

Bake uncovered 1 hour at 350° or until meat reaches an internal temperature of 160°. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
