Chocolate Hot Fudge Sauce (x4 scale)

Real hot fudge sauce, the kind that thickens on top of ice cream

Scale: x0.25 | x0.5 | x1 | x1.5 | x2 | x3 | x4

Makes 8 cups

Just like you can get at Dairy Queen or McDonalds. No better way to combine ice cream and chocolate.

  • 4 cups (800 g) white granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (256 g) cocoa, packed
  • 4 cups (800 g) white granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (256 g) cocoa, packed

Mix sugar and cocoa.

  • 4 cups (1.32 kg) corn syrup
  • 2 cups (488 g) 12% cream
  • 4 cups (1.32 kg) corn syrup
  • 2 cups (488 g) 12% cream

Add corn syrup, cream, and mix. Bring to boil. Simmer 3 minutes.

  • 1 cup (227 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp, 1 tsp (20 g) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (227 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp, 1 tsp (20 g) vanilla extract

Stir in butter and vanilla.
