Double Fudge Chocolate Cake (x1.5 scale)

A great birthday cake for chocolate lovers

  • 34 cup (96 g) cocoa, packed
  • 34 cup (170 g) buttermilk
  • 1 12 tsp (7 g) vanilla extract

Beat in order, adding ingredients one at a time

  • 3 13 cups, 2 tsp (422 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 14 tsp (14 g) baking soda
  • 2 14 tsp (11 g) baking powder
  • 3 13 cups, 2 tsp (422 g) all-purpose flour

Sift together and add to liquid mixture

  • 1 12 cup (355 g) water, boiling

Fold in boiling water

Place mixture in two prepared, round 9” cake pans.
